Lake Clark National Park and Preserve is off the "road system." There is no public transportation to the park. To travel to the park one must either take a boat across Cook Inlet to the park's coast, or fly via a small twin engine airplane which can land on lakes, coastal beaches, or the runways in Port Alsworth.
