Gear Spotlight: Salomon Q BC Lab Ski

Posted on February 21, 2014 by Jamie Brady   comments

Xploritall got a sneak peak at the latest and greatest snowsports gear unveiled at the SIA Snow Show in Denver. We will be posting Gear Spotlights on some of the best products we saw. Most won't be released until Fall 2014.

Salomon Q BC Lab Ski

Julbo Universe with Snow Tiger Lens

Salomon is introducing a new ski for pure backcountry performance. The Q BC Lab ski is ideal for touring the flats, skinning uphill and flying down. A full-length poplar wood core reinforced with a CFX Superfiber (carbon/flax laminate), and a honeycomb tip keeps the skis light for climbing. A G-Spot pattern under the foot provides grip to aid in that department, and the tail is compatible with climbing skins. The full sandwich sidewall and utility rocker provide a steady and stabile ride down, and the CFX Superfiber also aids here by providing dampening. And, the graphics are pretty sweet.

Lengths: 176, 184
Weight: 1.8 kgs (size 184)
Construction & Core: Full Sandwich Sidewalls, Full Woodcore
Rocker: Utility Rocker
