Gear Spotlight: Jigabot AIMe Robotic Camera Mount
Posted on January 28, 2014 by

A product launching this year aims to simplify some problems inherent in capturing action video. AIMe is a robotic device that operates remotely to automatically film a subject, and keeps them framed in the shot. Whether you are alone and want to film yourself nailing a big trick, or you want to want to keep your focus on the action instead of worrying about operating your camera, AIMe will have you covered. AIMe will come with various upper and lower mounts to attach a GoPro, cell phone, or small video camera to the unit. Put the EMIT sensor on your subject, and AIMe will follow that sensor by rotating and tilting as necessary. The stock EMIT sensor has a range of 150 feet. The EMIT sensor can be linked to your specific AIMe to prevent interference, or you can control several AIMe units to get multiple camera angles.
AIMe is scheduled to launch in June 2014, and will retail for $299.99.
