Gear Spotlight: Black Diamond ReVolt Headlamp

Xploritall attended the Outdoor Retailer Summer Show recently to check out outdoor, lifestyle, and travel products to be released in the upcoming Fall and Spring seasons. We'll be covering some of the more interesting things we saw at the show. Once we receive products to demo and get a chance to test them out, we'll be reviewing them as well.
The new ReVolt headlamp from Black Diamond will allow the use of alkaline batteries OR rechargeable NiMH AAA batteries. Even better, the headlamp itself acts as a charger for the rechargeable batteries, through a USB plug on the side. So, if you have access to a car, computer, or solar charger, you can extend the (already long) life of the batteries. The lumen output ranges from 90 to 110 on the one TriplePower LED (4 lumens on the minimum setting), and 25 lumens through the two SinglePower LEDs. The white lights are dimmable. It also has two SinglePower red LEDs for night vision use.
