Gear Spotlight: Baffin Packables and Trails to Rapids
Posted on August 19, 2013 by
Xploritall attended the Outdoor Retailer Summer Show to check out outdoor, lifestyle, and travel products to be released in the upcoming Fall and Spring seasons. We'll be covering some of the more interesting things we saw at the show. Once we receive products to demo and get a chance to test them out, we'll be reviewing them as well.
Baffin, a Canadian adventure footwear brand, introduced two different water-focused shoes to debut for Spring 2014. Both bring a bit of flair in addition to practicality and convenience.

The Packables boot is Baffin's challenge to the idea that adventure travel wear must sacrifice style. The stylish, rubberized rain boots can be rolled up and stowed away when not needed. Rather than lamenting over a rainy forecast, Packables just might make one secretly wish for a chance to show these off.

Taking a trip that will involve hiking and spending time in and around water? That means bringing two pairs of shoes, a hiking shoe/boot and water shoes, right? Not anymore. Baffin's Trails to Rapids shoe is designed to pull double duty in both environments, by incorporating the best of both types of footwear. Baffin guarantees these to "leak like a sieve,” to filter, drain and defend against the toughest of outdoor elements. Also debuting for Spring 2014, Trails to Rapids will be available in six different styles with two outsole options (rugged and casual).
