Gear Spotlight: Freewaters GPS Sandal
Posted on August 9, 2013 by

Xploritall attended the Outdoor Retailer Summer Show to check out outdoor, lifestyle, and travel products to be released in the upcoming Fall and Spring seasons. We'll be covering some of the more interesting things we saw at the show. Once we receive products to demo and get a chance to test them out, we'll be reviewing them as well.
What do you get when you take a sandal, already a comfortable footwear option, and add a Thermarest footbed? An even MORE comfortable sandal. Yes, Thermarest, the same company that pioneered technology to pack supreme comfort into impossibly thin applications like sleeping pads. Freewaters, a California based footwear company, have licensed the Thermarest technology and scaled it down to use in several of their sandals and shoes. Add to that their use of vegan materials, and most importantly the company's mission to donate 1% of gross sales to funding clean drinking water projects (get it? "Freewaters"), and you get a win-win for everyone. But especially your feet.
Pictured is the "GPS" sandal - which we are happily testing as we speak, and will be reviewing soon.
