BBQ-Donut

The BBQ-Donut is a new idea for getting together to enjoy food, the water, and the company of friends and family. As the name implies, the BBQ-Donut is a circular boat that seats 9-10 people around a central charcoal grill and eating table. OK, maybe that is the second image the name implies - and I cannot help wondering what an actual donut covered in BBQ sauce tastes like now. Designed by a German company, the boat comes in a few different models, and can be selected with or without a gas or electric outboard motor. It comes with underseat storage areas, a sunshade, and an optional sound system and lighting.
It was designed for use in lakes, ponds, (obviously large) pools, or other bodies of water, and is durable enough to withstand salt water. The concept is that the BBQ-Donut would be deployed as a fleet on a pier with a rental station. There are several stations in service around the world, mostly in Germany. So be on the lookout for these on your travels. If you are interested in purchasing one, it'll run you between 13,500 to 19,000 Euros (about $18,000 - 24,000 USD) each.
UPDATE: The developer of the bbq-donut informed us that in September 2013, the second generation of the bbq-donut "type2" will be available. Seating 8 people, the starter version will be priced under 10,000 Euro.
